History
Ace Hardware was founded by Mr. Richard Hesse, Frank Burke, E. Gunnard Lindquist, and Oscar Fisher, all of them are hardware owners. It was in 1924 when they built the company to provide a centralized purchasing organization to supply their founder’s and members of the stores. The company name was created after the ace fighter pilots of World War 1. In 1928, Ace Hardware opened its first warehouse which is a 25000 square foot building in Chicago. Ace Stores, Inc. changed its name to Ace Hardware Corporation by 1931. The first Super Ace Store was launched in 1946, showcasing wider aisles and self-service displays. By 1961, Ace moved its warehouse and corporate headquarters at Bedford Park, Illinois, which gave the company much needed space for growth. Mr. Richard Hesse retired in 1973 and Ace was sold to its retailers thus becoming a cooperative. The headquarters was moved to suburban Oak Brook in Illinois. In 1974, the company’s corporate office was separated from the warehouse and was established in Oak Brook, Illinois. By 2000, the company launched its Vision 21 Program which aimed to make all stores look recognizable and to provide better service to their customers. In 2005, Mr. Ray Griffith took over as the President and CEO of Ace Hardware Corporation and Mr. David Ziegler as the Chairman of the Board.

RSC Warehouse Supervisor
You will have the direct supervision of Material Handlers or Drivers, oversees day-to-day operations, train and develop staff and assist the management with long term planning. You should have an excellent interpersonal and communication skill, energetic and results oriented.
Outbound Warehouse Supervisor
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of outbound warehouse department, daily activities such as planning, assigning work tasks, inventory, and problem solving. Review and manage daily warehouse reports and other supervisory functions including team building and development.
Material Handler
The position involves a lot of bending, reaching, walking, stooping, driving and lifting so you must have the ability to do all these activities for a full shift.
Warehouse Associate
You will be responsible for providing a good customer service, assisting customers with their loading purchases and ensure accuracy of all orders. Maintain the warehouse cleanliness and able to or willing to learn to use lift trucks and power tools.
